--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The predictions here come from Adam and correspond to his picks.

New York Jets at Detroit Lions
The Jets had a real stinker last week, whereas the Lions had a big win against the Redskins.  Matthew Stafford will be motivated to show he deserved to be the top pick over Mark Sanchez.  This is probably really dumb, but...
Prediction: Lions 23 – Jets 21

Chicago Bears at Buffalo Bills (in Toronto)
The Bills have gone on the road and taken both the Ravens and Chiefs to overtime in back-to-back weeks.  The Bears' offensive line is awful, and Jay Cutler has caught the turnover bug again.  It's hard to pick a team that's 0-7, but they have to win sometime.  Ryan Fitzpatrick has been really good and I think that will be enough.
Prediction: Bills 23 – Bears 19

Arizona Cardinals at Minnesota Vikings
For all the disarray in Minnesota, they have been in every game and have too much talent and brute strength for the Cardinals.
Prediction: Vikings 27 – Cardinals 10

New England Patriots at Cleveland Browns
The Browns off a bye week, and with former Patriots coach Eric Mangini, they will be well prepared for this game.  They get New England at home, and have been in every game.  Considering all that, it's still Tom Brady vs. Colt McCoy.
Prediction: Patriots 24 – Browns 20

Miami Dolphins at Baltimore Ravens
This should be a really good game with two physical and smart football teams.  This is Miami's third straight game against an AFC North opponent; they must be getting sick of this division's physicality.  I'm picking the Ravens because I can't imagine the Dolphins going 5-0 on the road.
Prediction: Ravens 23 – Dolphins 20

San Diego Chargers at Houston Texans
It's high time for both of these teams to live up to their potential.  The Texans' defense has been awful, and Marcus McNeill is back for the Chargers.  Gary Kubiak, get ready for your seat to heat up a bit.
Prediction: Chargers 31 – Texans 28

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Atlanta Falcons
The Bucs are 3-0 on the road while the Falcons 3-0 at home.  Something's gotta give.  Yet Matt Ryan almost never loses in the Georgia Dome. Atlanta has an excellent coaching staff so coming off a bye week should be a positive, and I think their offense will light it up in this game.  The Bucs are improved, but I think this week starts their fall in the standings.
Prediction: Falcons 28 – Buccaneers 16

New Orleans Saints at Carolina Panthers
The Saints got rolling a bit last week with a win against the Steelers.  This could be a letdown game for New Orleans, but at 5-3, I doubt they will be too overconfident.
Prediction: Saints 30 – Panthers 16

New York Giants at Seattle Seahawks
The Seahawks got destroyed by the Raiders last week.  The Giants are a smart, veteran team coming off a bye.  I think New York will dominate this game in the trenches and get some big gainers off play action.
Prediction: Giants 27 – Seahawks 17

Indianapolis Colts at Philadelphia Eagles
Michael Vick will be back, but he may have to knock off some rust.  Dwight Freeney and Robert Mathis should be able to contain Vick as well as anybody.  Peyton Manning looks ready to start marching this team toward the playoffs.
Prediction: Colts 28 – Eagles 24

Kansas City Chiefs at Oakland Raiders
Who would have thought that these two teams would be battling for control of the AFC West?  Both defenses have been playing really well lately.  For some reason, I just can't pick Oakland, but I honestly have no idea who wins this game.
Prediction: Chiefs 16 – Raiders 13

Dallas Cowboys at Green Bay Packers
The Packers have beaten the Vikings and Jets in back-to-back weeks, so they could be emotionally drained.  But this is a level-headed team that doesn't get too high or low.  This is also a primetime game, and everybody likes to beat Dallas.  It's also Jon Kitna vs. Aaron Rodgers.
Prediction: Packers 30 – Cowboys 20

Pittsburgh Steelers at Cincinnati Bengals
This should be a close game, but I can't see the Steelers losing two straight.
Prediction: Steelers 27 – Bengals 20
