Mission Statement

This site, Hill 364, is intended to be a break from the cliché riddled, sports entertainment rumor mill that is today's sports media. We oppose the transformation of ESPN into simply E! We don't care who is dating who, who is mad at whom, and which team is feeling disrespected and has the best bulletin board material to motivate themselves. What we care about is what takes place between the lines. Strategy, matchups, player profiles, and humor if it falls directly into our laps will be our focus. There was a time when sports were an end in themselves, when the competition and the game itself is what we looked forward to. We will hearken back to that time; we will discuss purely sports material, and material that is relevant solely on the field of play. We are not zealots, we are purists. Sure we have our biases, and our favorite teams, but what we love more than our own teams is the purity of competition, the essence of sport. It is this essence that we will tap into, discuss, dissect, and enjoy along with our readers. What we intend our site to be is a bastion of true sports talk, a rare enclave for those that simply love the game and not the hype surrounding the game. Please join us, enjoy our site, and bask in the purity of sport.

You may ask yourself, "How did I get here?" Well, we got here by being two eager fans of sport. The great games that captivate us all and inspire us are our reason for embarking on a new journey across the interwebs. We intend to be two voices of reason in a world wide web full of whackos, two fans blogging for a simple love of the game. You can be the judge as to where we rate among those whackos, or if we're something different. Occasionally our fandom may get the better of us and other interests may seep into our discussions from time to time, but this is a site meant for serious dialogue about issues we greatly care about, mainly sport.
